OUR PARTNERS
Early Reading First
Operated by the U.S. Department of Education Office of Elementary and Secondary Education the program supports the development of early childhood centers of excellence. SWI currently has two Early Reading First programs in Mohave County, AZ and Gallup McKinley County, NM serving approximately 600 children each year. We provide intensive professional development on science-based reading strategies, print rich environments, specific plans for transition to kindergarten and English Language acquisition, and special emphasis on family literacy.
Curriculum-Based Decision Making (CBDM)
The Curriculum-Based Decision Making (CBDM) tool is created to help teachers take full advantage of the myriad of observations that typically occur each day by systematically monitoring children’s learning.
